 - Aeration -

Aeration provides more nutrients and water to the root zone of the grass.

It's a great natural way to boost your lawn's health, as it aids natural nutrient delivery and also reduces soil compaction. If you have an irrigation system we will mark the rotors and valve boxes for you (or you can do it yourself, if you prefer) so we don't damage your irrigation system.  We always make sure to leave everything clean and blown off!

 - Dethatching -

One of the owner's most highly recommended services!

Dethatching is one of the best ways to naturally keep your lawn healthy. A lot of people believe that all their thatch comes from mowing, and some of it does; however, grass is always regenerating and because of this there is always "thatch" in lawns. Removing the old thatch allows for more water to penetrate to the root zone as well as allowing the grass to thicken. It also makes the lawn look very sharp and clean. We use a spring tooth thatcher to loosen the thatch base, then we bag and remove the thatch from the lawn. As usual we will blow off the job site and keep it nice clean.

 - shrub trimming -

Shrub Trimming is a professional service, and our team will treat it as such.

Our shrub trimming service will provide you with clean-cut shrubs and an overall much tidier look to your property. We will also clean up all the clippings from the lawn and gardens and dispose of them off site. Once again, we'll finish up with a thorough blow-off of pavement and ground patios (see "Blowing").

 - overseeding -

The practice of overseeding lawns is essential for maintaining your lawn's long- term health and vibrancy. And yet overseeding remains, sadly, one of the most overlooked elements in lawn maintenance. Lawn over-seeding helps to thicken lawn. We aerate to open the "seed bed" and then broadcast seed into the lawn. The two images to the left show the same fescue lawn before and after seeding. Overseeding was performed in early fall and was recommended due to thinning grass and increasing weed problems. The second image was taken the following spring after overseeding. The grass is thicker and the thin areas have filled in.

 - mulching -

Top dressing garden beds with new mulch is one of the easiest ways to absolutely transform the aesthetic of your garden and other lawn features. Besides the great looks, Reasons for applying mulch include conservation of soil moisture, improving fertility and health of the soil, reducing weed growth and enhancing the visual appeal of the area. Shredded wood, organic compost, pine needles, wood chips, and crushed stone are just some of the materials commonly used in mulch. There are many reasons for choosing each of these materials, and it is up to you which works best, however our experts will gladly lend their experience to guide you towards lawn excellence.

- Lime -

When soil becomes too acidic, lawn grasses struggle and plants that flourish in acidic soil take their place. When this takes place, it is time for a treatment of Lime. Lime is a soil amendment made from ground limestone rock, which naturally contains calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate. When lime is added to soil, these compounds work to increase the soil's pH, making soil less acidic and more alkaline. Even though lime includes calcium and magnesium, which are essential nutrients for healthy plant growth, it's not a substitute for fertilizer. Lime's primary role is to alter soil pH and offset soil acidity, which can improve the availability of plant nutrients.
